US sz. 8 .925 sterling silver 1987 Seltmann Weiden plate ring. The scene in this ring is from their Idyllisches Dorflebenring series with artist Christian Luckel. These plates were produced in Germany and highlight idyllic Bavarian life, produced only for 75 firings before the mold was destroyed, only about 564 plates were made in total. This ring features fine silver round wire and twisted rope border and recycled beads set atop a comfortable double band. The scene on this piece is the village pole group performing outside of the main building. This scene specifically comes from the 'Die Bauernhochzeit' plate design.
This stone was cut and polished in our garage studio by my husband just outside of Austin, TX.
