US sz. 6.5 .925 sterling silver Petrified Wood and turquoise ring. This stone is formed from millions of years of minerals hardening fallen trees into stone. This wood in particular comes from a petrified tree in Nevada. The deposits of copper and iron ore within the rings of the tree give it it blue and rust color. It is set on a comfortable double band and features recycled silver beads and fine silver sun ray elements. This stone is magnificent specimen with movement and glowing warm tones. The sleeping beauty accompanying stone comes from Arizona and was mined out in the 1970's.
This stone was hand cut and polished by my husband in our garage studio.
